Each of these 12 males with tentative names were found deceased in Manhattan. These names have never been confirmed and next of kin has never been found. Can you help close their case?



12 Missing Men Who Died in Manhattan

Mike Bnsesis

According to the medicaid card, welfare card, and hospital ID card found with the body, this decedent may have been Mike Bnesis, a homeless white male known in the area. He was found floating in the Hudson River off Pier 66. Witnesses saw him fall off the pier but he was last seen swimming toward the shore. He was 5'9" and weighed 155 pounds. He was 45-55 years old. He had partially gray hair, a mustache, and brown eyes. He had a scar on his right thigh underneath an amateur tattoo of the name "Bernie." He also had an abdominal scar underneath an amateur tattoo of a female head. He had a professional tattoo of a dagger and chain on his left forearm. He died in 1991. [Case 9015]



Edward Brown

On November 25, 1990, witnesses saw a black male in the opening of the subway tunnel on the southbound tracks at the 96th Street station. He was attempting to climb up the ladder at the end of the platform when he was struck by an incoming C train which could not stop in time. He was 50-70 years old, 6'2", and weighed 155 pounds. He was wearing a beige coat, a plaid suit, and a tan sweater. He was mostly bald with some gray hair on the back of his head and a closely cropped gray mustache and beard. He had a five inch scar on the right side of his abdomen. A postmortem photograph is available. [Case 10313]


John J. Bush

A 45-55 year old white homeless male was found deceased on a park bench by another homeless male. He had last been seen at Bellevue Hospital for dialysis on October 3, 2001. A postmortem photograph is available. [Case 5982]



Angel Centron

A 45-65 year old Hispanic male with dark gray hair was found unresponsive on the corner of Frankfort and Pearl Street. He was 5'8" and weighed 130 pounds. He had track marks on his left forearm and multiple scars on his torso. Additional scars were found on his left forearm and right chest near his nipple. He had multiple tattoos on both forearms, hands, and legs. Many of these tattoos were amateur and several featured dcrosses. Additionallly, he he had a tattoo on his outer right leg which read "CALIF, 1965." A postmortem photograph is available. He died in 1992. [Case 8321]



Lino Ramon Escannamel

A 30-45 year old Hispanic male was found unresponsive in the lobby of 151 Nagle Avenue. A clinic card from Harlem Hospital was found in his wallet. He was 5'6" and weighed 155 pounds. A postmortem photograph is available. He died in 1998. [Case 6156]



Patrick Gunther

On November 11, 1990, a 25-45 year old black male purposely fell to his death from a great height. He was found on the sidewalk at the northbound entrance of the Henry Hudson Parkway at West 158th Street. He was 5'9" and weighed 210 pounds. He had a receding hairline and a thin mustache and beard. His left earlobe was pierced and he was wearing a golden earring. He had many scars on his body, including an eight inch vertical scar on his abdomen, some well-healed scars from a chest tube, and several other scars on his hands, stomach, legs, feet, and hairline. Clifford Hodges

On November 23, 1993, a 50-65 year old black male was found unresponsive in a vacant store on 2nd Avenue. He had a hospital bracelet (missing a hospital name) with "Clifford Hodges" and an admission date of October 13, 1993. He was 5'6" and weighed 165 pounds. He had a twelve inch surgical scar on the right side of his chest, and a six inch scar on the mid-line of his abdomen with suture scars on either side. Additional scars were found on his buttock and left knee. He had multiple circular scars on his inner right lower leg. [Case 8012]


John Joyner

A 40-60 year old black male was found unresponsive at East 52nd Street and 11th Avenue. He was 5'11" and weighed 205 pounds. He had a three inch scar on his left hip. A postmortem photograph is available. He died in 1994. [Case 7758]



James McQuillen

A 55-75 year old male was found unresponsive by sanitation workers outside their facility on 56th Street. He had hospital release paperwork from the beginning of January. He was 5'7" and weighed 205 pounds. Multiple scars were found across the front of his torso. A postmortem photograph is available. He died in 1999. [Case 6103]



Cleophas Mukarram

A mummified black male was found in an apartment after the superintendent had not seen the tenant for several months. He was 55-75 years old with white hair. He died sometime between 1999-2000. [Case 6949].



Robert Stevens

A black male was found decomposing in an apartment on 7th Avenue. He was 5'8" and weighed 100 pounds. He had gray and black hair with a mustache and beard. He had track marks on his arms and legs. [Case 8179]



Daniel Williams

A 40-60 year old male known in the neighborhood as Daniel Williams was found in a burning shack. His race could not be determined but he was most likely black. A dog was found under the bed as well. He died in 1997. [Case 6833]
