Amazing day! The Buckskin Girl has been officially identified as a young woman from Arkansas named Marcia (pronounced Mar-see-uh) King.


This identification was made possible through the work of the DNA Doe Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to acting as a portal for agencies, donors, and volunteers to work together to bring closure to the unnamed dead.
